CNC (computer numerically controlled) machining (subtractive rapid prototyping) enables 3-D Technical Services to machine the actual material that will be used in production for the prototype. 3-D Technical Services has multiple machining centers that offer up to 4′ x 8′ capacity. We machine everything from quick Renshape (urethane tooling board) study models to complex machined components for specialized equipment. If the material can be machined, we machine it. We run SurfCAM software to create tool paths. The client can provide the CAD surface data or we can create it from verbal direction or hand sketch. Our staff has the programming and machining experience to provide the highest quality machined prototypes.
